Mlp: shocking betrayal

Twilight started to write her daily letter to celestia and the room started shaking and she knew her future self must have another warning. She hoped it wasn't serious this time. She appeared in the same outfit and was carrying a tattered equestrian flag. She was carrying a rifle carbine in her other hoof. Twilight was actually surprised at this. "What now??" her other self panted. "A hell of a lot worse than last time…" she nods quickly. "What happens?" "C-celestia… she betrays equestria…" twilight falls back in shock. "What?! How? Why?!" "She… I don't really know what happened to her. We looked for a reason and were ambushed…" a tear went down her scarred face. "The elements of harmony were no more…" she disappears and twilight feared the safety of her friends now. She quickly looked around for a book on how to prepare for a disaster and couldn't find one. Spike walked downstairs hearing all the noise. "Twilight? What are you looking for?" she eyes him worriedly. "A book… on disasters and how to prepare for them…" he smiles and leaves and comes back with a book. "Here it is! Why do you need it?" "My future self again!" he almost fell over laughing. "That again? You freaked out last time and ended up making yourself look like a pony who was hit by fire!" she glares at him. He remembers there was fire. "Heh heh… sorry…" she opens the book and finds the one on war and fighting. "War? Why war?" she explained what happened. "Celestia? Why?" she shrugs. "She only said she betrays us and that's it" he nods. "Okay… we need to go around and find more out before we start arming ourselves or something…" she nods and runs out. Spike rolls his eyes and follows her. She finds their friends and explained what happened. Sonic knew it was trouble. "Is there any weapons we can gather?" everypony nods. "Everypony keeps a gun in case of a conflict or something" he nods. "I need to find one then" they nod. "We have a pony that makes custom made guns for anypony with a reason!" he nods and they tell him where to find him. Sonic runs toward the area and noticed an old shop with a sign that read 'guns'. He walks in and sees an old pony with a beret tinkering with a receiver for an m4. He walks up and they look up. "Let me guess. Looking for a weapon?" he nods. "Yeah! I'm looking for something fast and cool, something that won't slow me down" he sighs heavily. "You sound like that cyan one with the rainbow mane…" "Rainbow dash?" "Yeah, that's it. You know her?" "We're dating really" he smiles smugly. "No surprise there…" sonic waits while the guy brings out a smg. "64 a clip, very accurate and light weight! Sound like what you're looking for?" he nods. "Sounds good, could I see what side arms you have?" he nods and goes back. He comes back with a few pistols. "g18, 57, 357. 50. Cal" he picks the five seven. He pays the steep price for the guns and puts them in his bag. Derpy runs up and hands him a letter. He opens it. 'Sonic, I need to speak to you. Do you mind flying up to canterlot real quick? – celestia' he had a bad feeling. He flew up to canterlot and she smiles when he enters. "Yeah?" "My sister Luna has started to rebel for some reason. Can you talk to her?" he shrugs. "Why me?" "You're the fastest pony I know other than rainbow dash!" he smiles. "Okay, I'll get to it right away" he runs off and notices Luna flying over to him. "Sonic!" they stop and land. "Yeah?" "Celestia's up to something…" sonic sighs. "All of my friends are convinced of that as well, twilight claims she met her future self again and she told of an apocalyptic future or something…" Luna nods. "Come on… I have a lot to explain…"
Luna explains what has happened and sonic was surprised. "That doesn't really sound like celestia…" she sighs. "She has changed over the past 1000 years…" sonic nods. "Could you follow me to ponyville?" she nods. "Yes, the holders of the elements of harmony need to know this" they get there and twilight was on a branch of the tree on her library/house. Sonic calls up. "Hey! I brought luna with me!" she nods. Dash opens the door. They walk in and Luna explains what has happened and how they needed to prepare for it. "I control the night guards so I can stall her long enough to you to get ready. Gather as many battle ready ponies as you can!" dash zooms out of the library up to cloudsdale and the others go around getting ponies to help. Vinyl scratch notices what they're saying and grunts to get sonic's attention. He walks over. "Yeah?" "So… the princess is finally going to snap?" he nods. "We need to get ready!" she smiles. "I'll be ready in a bit!" she walks into her house and sonic keeps walking around. Soon they had a bunch of ponies willing to help. Sonic saw celestia flying over and noticed her shocked face. She quickly flies back to canterlot and sonic heard the flapping wings of multiple pegasi. He turns around and sees rainbow dash leading pegasi to ponyville. She had gotten the help of hundreds. Sonic nods and she smiles.  They land in a field near by and sonic runs over. "Bad news, celestia just flew over and she's seen what we're doing. We may need to expect resistance!" they all nod. Luna smiles at sonic's progress. She is respected as she passes by the various ponies. She flew to canterlot and is met with a battalion of solar foot soldiers. She knew it was found out. She was taken away and brought before celestia. "You expect me to trust you now?" she smiles. "No… but I've gotten ponyville, cloudsdale, and other places to join me. You will not rule forever" celestia turns away. "What makes you think I can't hold my rule?" sonic noticed Luna wasn't in sight. He calls up to dash. "Hey! Where's luna?" she shrugs. "I think she flew to canterlot!" he nods. "She may have been captured! Get the pegasus ready!" she nods. Sonic got the ground ponies ready and they started to march toward the train station. The day guards notice and are confused. "What the heck?" one uses some binoculars and sees ponies… with guns… "Holy shit!" they run and call to close the station. Sonic notices and runs forward and prevents the door from closing by shooting the wires. The pony shutting it down cowers. Sonic just walks by them and opens the door. The group boards the train and close the windows to avoid being out of place. Day guards ordered by celestia to guard the train station got word of the raid and got the rifles out. Luna's led to her room and the room is locked. She looks around and smiles. She presses a button and a secret entrance opens up. She walks though and finds her secret weapons stash. She grabs her gun and packed them into a saddle bag. She walks out to a secret area of canterlot to the night guard barracks. She is pleased to see them awake. "Okay! We have the support of most of equestria and we attack!" they cheer and get ready. Shining armour hears. He knew it was a bad sign. He runs off to let celestia and candence know.
Sonic and the rest stopped the train once they saw the force. "Okay… we need snipers set up…" rarity walked up with a dragunov. "Allow me!" she got up on top of the train and took out the guards waiting to ambush them. She reloads and steps down. Sonic was impressed. "Good work!" sonic then started the train again and they got to the front. Dash sighs. "Why did it have to come to this…" she stops sonic. "What if we're getting too ahead of ourselves here?" twilight looks around nervously. "b-because! My future self!" she nods. "I know that! But what if it's a trap?" twilight sighs. "Then we need to expect one! Come on!" they keep going and sonic divides the ponies into battalions and elects leaders for each squad. He and the mane six stay together. They keep walking and twilight slowly gets more on edge. Sonic notices. "Twilight? You okay?" she gulps. "My future self told me we are ambushed and some of us may die…" he nods. "Dash and I could go ahead and check for any traps!" she nods. "Okay, we'll stay here" sonic tells dash and they start to fly ahead to check. They notice that mist started to gather around them as they went. Twilight soon couldn't see them. "Oh no…" sonic got out of the mist and noticed that dash wasn't out yet. He looked around and couldn't see her. The mist cleared and she was gone. Twilight sees and gasps. The others notice as well. "Where's rainbow dash?" sonic flies back. "I… I don't know what happened…" dash opens her eyes and saw celestia, but she was different. Her eyes were now a bright red instead of purple. She gasps. "Luna was right…" celestia just frowns. "When I sent her to the moon, she had found out my secret and turned to nightmare moon to try and stop me, to prevent the solar empire from rising. Now that she's returned, she is trying again" dash tries to lunge at her but is stopped by magic. "No… you will stay here… as, leverage" dash looks down in defeat. "You won't get away with this…" she smirks. "No? I've already captured Luna and your small force will fail before they can even reach the building!" she walks off. They look around for dash and can't find her. They regroup and say what they looked in. sonic sighs. "Come on, we need to keep going" they all nod. Dash thought of her options of how to escape and warn her friends of what happened. She looks around for something to use and saw nothing. Soarin and spitfire suddenly walk in. dash flinch in preparation for another evil talk or something. They smile and run over. "Rainbow dash!" she opens her eyes. "Why the face? We're going to get you out of here!" she nods and they loosen the bonds for her to get out. "Thanks! But we need to stop the others before they get here!" they nod and they use a secret exit to get out. Luna noticed a grate move and she walks over. It opens and dash, soarin, and spitfire come out. She steps back. "Rainbow dash?" she nods. "Yes, you got out? Celestia said she had captured you!" she smiles. "Not really, she made the mistake of only putting me in my room instead of a cell" she smiles again. "Are the wonderbolts good?" spitfire sighs. "I wish, we think that celestia is crazy!"  Luna nods. "You could join the shadowbolts!" dash, soarin, and spitfire's eyes widen. Luna laughs. "Just kidding!" they nods and they continue until out of canterlot. Dash then flies off to warn her friends. She sees them and dashes forward. Sonic sees her and smiles. She lands and is automatically asked a bunch of questions from everypony except for sonic. "Quiet! Celestia had captured me! Soarin and spitfire helped me escape!" they nod. "Good! Did you see where Luna is?" she nods. "Yeah, she's headed this way now!" Luna flies up in the horizon with her lunar following. She gets over. "We need to get out of here and make a new plan!" twilight gives her a questioning look. Luna sighs. "She's more prepared than we thought!" she nods. But before they could react, solar soldiers attacked them. They get in cover and the lunar soldiers open fired on the soldiers. They retreat and Luna sets them up so they can make a plan. "Great, now they know we're here!" they set up camp and sonic talks to Luna about what they need to do. "Well, first of all, I need each bearer of the elements of harmony leading a group of either volunteers or lunar soldiers" he nods. "Okay, how about me?" she smiles. "I want you to be in my squad, I could use your help" dash walks in. "Excuse me? Could I borrow sonic?" Luna nods. Sonic follows dash over to her tent. "Yeah?" she hugs him. He is surprised. "Dash? What happened in canterlot?" she lets go. "Celestia is insane… her eyes are bright red and she plans to slaughter our forces once we even go near the main building…" he nods. "What do we do then?" she shrugs. "After hearing what twilight told us at the beginning of all this shit… I want to be cautious" he nods. "Okay, then we need to take another way to get in the building" she nods. "We could use the way I escaped from!" he nods. "Good idea, we need to bring silenced weapons and a recon squad with us and break the inside defenses to allow the others in" they leave the tent and tell Luna of their plan. She smiles. "Good idea, we can't afford any casualties just to get in the building" twilight hears. She walks in. "I want to help" they turn and face her. "Really?" she nods. "The faster we get this done, the better!" they nod. They arm their guns with silencers and get ready. Dash leads them to the grate she was talking to and they notice that twilight was dressed the way she was before when sneaking into the archives. "Twilight! You look outrageous!" she sighs. "But it helps get around better" they roll their eyes and they get in. celestia had guards everywhere. Twilight told dash and sonic to wait and she snuck out. She took out a silenced five seven and took a deep breath. She had made something just for this. She activated an invisibility device and disappeared. Dash and sonic watch as each and every guard falls over knocked out. She signals them to follow. They look at each other. Celestia watched the security monitors for the halls and saw this. "Hmm…" she pressed a button. They hear mechanical movements and hide. Twilight readied an E.M.P grenade. She tossed it and a robot lumbers out. The grenade explodes and it falls over. She runs over to examine it. Dash looks at it and is confused. "Why does it look like me?" they shrug and make sure it won't wake up by removing vital parts on it. Twilight then has to do the same thing again with another set of guards. Shining armour walks out to find the guards like that. Twilight stops in her tracks when she sees him. She backs away. He looks around and leaves. Sonic held his breath. He then walks over to twilight. "Are you okay?" she shakes her head. "What am I doing?!" he sighs. "Get a hold of your self!" she shakes her head again. "My entire life I studied under celestia…. Wrote to her constantly… for this?" he nods. "It can't be helped…" she sighs. "I know…" she then composes herself. Dash walks ahead of them. "Come on! We need to keep going!" fluttershy was hiding in her tent with the door knotted shut. Applejack walks up and shoots her gun in the air and hears a yelp from the tent. "Fluttershy! Gut yer flank out here!" "n-no! I hate this stupid war!" Applejack sighs. "We all do! But if everypony helps, we can get it done faster!" she hears a whimper. She sighs and takes a knife out and cuts the rope. She walks in. "Come on… we need you! Rainbow dash, twilight, and sonic are in the castle right now opening the gate for us!" she looks at her "T-they are?" she nods. "This may be unexpected fer all us ponies, but we need to help out everyway we can!" scratch walked up to the main front and helped the lunar soldiers take out the solar soldiers that were trying to get in the camp. She only fired one bullet for each soldier and almost always met her mark. The soldiers were gaping. "She's good…" vinyl smiled and kept shooting. Celestia hears about the camp and sends a Pegasus to drop a bomb on the camp. Vinyl looks up to see the bomb falling. "HOLY SHIT!! RUN!!" they retreat and the unicorns create a defensive force field around the camp. The bomb explodes and the force field is destroyed, but Nopony is harmed. Luna swears under her breath. "We need to be less visible…" she cast a veil of fog to cover the camp. The solar soldiers look around in confusion. Luna smiles seeing this. She had her soldiers put their goggles on to see through the fog. Dash saw some kind of device up ahead. She stops them and runs ahead and picks it up. She looks at it. Twilight sees it. "What's that?" dash shrugs. "Beats me…" twilight accidentally presses a button and a beam flies from the device and hits her. She looks around wildly and then passes out on the floor. "Twilight?!" sonic checks if she's still breathing. "She's fine, but I wonder what that did to her…" he puts the device in a place where Nopony would mess with it. "We need to get her out of here…" they pick her up and get out. They get back to the camp. Nurse Redheart examines her once they get her there. "To tell you the truth, there's nothing wrong with her!" they sigh in relief. "But I'll keep her here so she can rest" they nod and tell Luna of what they found out. She sighs.  "Okay… this may be more difficult than we thought… okay, you two go rest while I try and figure out what to do" they nod and leave the tent. Dash and sonic go to her tent. "What do you think that device did?" sonic shrugs. "I don't know… but I hope she's okay" they stand there for a moment. Dash looks at sonic and blushes a little bit. He notices. Aj hears they got back and runs over to dashes tent and opens the flap. "Hey you two! Back already?" they nod. "Twilight was injured and we had to get back" she nods. "Is she okay?" they nod. "She's resting at the medical tent right now" she nods. "I'm having trouble getting fluttershy to help out" they laugh. "Leave her be! If she's too scared to do anything, don't blame her!" Aj nods. "I know, we almost got hit by a bomb earlier though…" spike walks in holding a letter. "Hey! Should we read this?" they nod and sonic reads it. 'Dear twilight, we're coming over to the camp. We have found out about celestia. –candence and shining armour.' He smiles. He walks out and sees them walk into the camp. They were stopped by lunar soldiers. Sonic walks over. "Let them in!" they nod and allow them through. They smile at sonic. "Hey sonic! Where's twilight?" he gets a nervous look. They get worried. "What is it?" "She was injured trying to get into canterlot castle" they nod. "Is that why all the guards were knocked out?" he nods. "Yeah… sorry about that…" he smiles. "No big deal." They walk to the medical tent to see twilight. She was still knocked out. There was a mark where the beam had hit her. They nod. Sonic had a tent set up for them. Luna comes over to great them. They nod in response. "We're working on getting the castle! Don't worry, once this is over, we'll make sure you two get the best" they nod. Sonic returns to the tent to find rd and aj talking. They stop once sonic gets there. Aj leaves and dash smiles. "Hey sonic, what did the letter say?" "Candence and shining armour joined us" "good…" *early the next day* twilight wakes up and looks around. She was in the medical tent. She gets up. She finds a mirror and is surprised. A scream went through the camp. Everypony recognized twilight's scream. Sonic and dash were the first in there. "Twilight? What's wro…" they see her and gape. Twilight looks at them. "What the hell did that device do to me?" they shrug. "Umm…. You have wings…" she double takes at the mirror. Luna and the rest of the mane six get in the tent. Luna questions them what they had seen. "Device? It did this?" twilight nods. "I guess so…" Luna then smiles. "Guess there's a new alicorn then!" sonic got a nervous look on his face. Dash notices. "Sonic? Are you okay?" he nods. "Fine!" she narrows her eyes. They all leave while twilight tries to fathom what happened to her. Dash then starts to question sonic about why he was nervous. He leads her to her tent and ties the tent shut. "Well, I was nervous because of what I've been hiding…" she raises an eyebrow. "What?!" he takes the spell off he was using to hide something. She gasps. "Why the hell were you hiding that??" he shrugs. "I thought it was a bad idea to show it…" she sighs. "You know how much that could've helped?" he shrugs. "Sorry…" twilight walks up and hears them talking. Sonic sees her. Celestia uses a scanning device to see what kind of ponies she would have to deal with. '~4 ALICORNS, 3350 EARTH PONIES, 2000 UNICORNS, AND 4000 PEGUSIS. THERE FORCE IS OVER 9000~' she is shocked. "WHAT?! 9000?? There's no way that can be right!" (XD) she thinks on how she could defeat them. She could sheer force, but that could be foolish. She got more frustrated and her pink and turquoise hair turns purple and dark blue. She panicked over this. "They must not see me in my true form…" Luna was slowly realizing how good off she was right now. Dash dragged sonic out. Twilight jumps back in surprise. Sonic escapes dash's grip. "Sonic! You have to tell Luna!" twilight is confused. "Tell her what?" rainbow dash explains to twilight what sonic told her. "He's an alicorn?" she nods. "Is anypony else an alicorn around here?!" she laughs at her own crack. Sonic grumbles under his breath as he walked to Luna's tent. He told Luna about what he was hiding and she was pleased. "It's difficult to hide something like that for so long! He shrugs. "I don't know how I did!" she nods. "Well, go on, I need you to get the others ready. We're going to attack!" he nods and goes around getting soldiers and volunteers ready. Luna walks out to see that the squads were ready. Sonic walks up and smiles. "Sonic? Where'd you learn how to organize troops so well?" he shrugs. "I don't really know…" she nods. "Well, if you remember, I'd like to know!" he nods. She then starts to talk to the crowd of soldiers. "Today we take back our home! She has led us to believe that she was the best pony to lead us! She was wrong!" the crowd cheers. She smiles. "Okay! Find your group leader and start onto victory!" they all nod and rise up the new flags that rarity had made on Luna's request. She had already made a name for her new soon-to-rise government: 'the new lunar republic' she led two squads with twilight and sonic leading them behind her. Celestia had solar guards set up in front of canterlot to defend it. She had an army 10000 strong. But she wasn't sure if it was going to be enough. Her cutie mark started to change. It was soon a black hole. She knew it wouldn't be long. The only way to keep from her true form showing is to retain her rule over equestria… and she had lost control of it. She had kept her rule now for 1165 years, and it was finally crumbling. She could not allow her younger sister from taking her place. But the apposing force was better armed and well equipped. If she couldn't keep her ground, she would have to flee. She had only been able to defeat her sister last time by using the elements of harmony and she no longer controlled them. The holders were now against her. Even her apprentice.  Twilight had a headache from her new changes and had trouble concentrating. She stayed on the ground because she had no experience with flying other than books. Dash was the most experienced with flying. Maybe she could help the other good thing was her magic powers were now increased. Luna hoped she could take her older sister on. But she knew her force might be enough to at least run her out of equestria. Her force is met by a large battalion of 3000 solar soldiers. They yell out and charge them. She calls out a bunch of orders and has a defense set up. Sonic looks through the scope of an m4 he had on semi-automatic. He fired once he saw any of the solar soldiers. It was easy because their armour was golden and most of the ponies were white. Once he was reloading he noticed that Luna was different than other leaders he's ever seen. She was actually fighting and calling out orders at the same time. Normally leaders just stood back and had their commanders and generals take care of everything. He was impressed. Dash was having a blast. She was mowing down the enemy soldiers extremely quickly. He noticed pinkie and was creeped out. Her hair was down and she was charging and stabbing and slaughtering the soldiers as they ran away scared. The group she was leading was backing away. He ran over and she eyed him with a crazed, murderous look. She then wiped the blood off her face and body and her hair puffed up again. "HEY SONIC!!!" "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU DOING?!" she shrugs. "Everypony has a dark side! Mine is one of the worse!!" he nods. "Well, good job! So good, you're scaring the shit out of them!" she laughs and faces the remaining soldiers. Her hair turns back and she smiles. "BOO!" they run and she laughs maniacally. Dash had seen her and fell over. Sonic runs over. "Dash? You okay?" she points at pinkie/pinkamena. "S-she was like that in a dream I had…" he nods. "I remember… that dream you nearly killed pinkie over?" she nods. "Y-yeah…" sonic could tell she wasn't ready to keep going. She took her back to her tent in the camp. Luna notices pinkie and was surprised and shocked at the same time. "Note to self… don't get pinkie pie angry…" fluttershy was too scared and she was still in her tent. Applejack had given up on getting her out and had left to help. Sonic brought dash to her tent. "Stay here and try to calm down! I'll come back to get you in about an hour!" she slowly nods. He then leaves. He thought of the fact of what she did in the past and wondered why she was scared of a little nightmare where pinkie had killed her. He then remembered she was cloned and she never did any of it. He sighs and returns. Luna walks up to him. "Is your friend pinkie pie sane?" sonic shrugs. "Not sure! May be, may not be!" she nods. "Well, could you have her checked after all of this?" he nods. Pinkie put her knife away and brought out her dual smg's. She open fired. She so far had the highest amount of kills than anyone else in the entire lunar army. She actually scared the battle out of the solar soldiers and many fell. Pinkie's pink mane was now blood red from her close range combat. Blood also covered her body and face. Due to her efforts, the entire battalion was either dead or running away. Pinkie killed at least 200. She had a Pegasus clean the blood off of her with a raincloud. Celestia gaped at the screen seeing what pinkie did. Luna noticed the observance drone and looked through her scope. She shot and the screen went blank. Celestia's wings turned into bat wings. She growled. Luna nods. Dash came back out. Pinkie ran to her tent and brought out trays of cupcakes and other sweets and set up a stand to pass them out to everypony. Dash walked out. Pinkie forgot to put her knife away and her hair was still down. Dash walked by and pinkie called out. "Hey rainbow dash! Want a cupcake?" dash turned to see her and backed away. She saw one thing, straight haired pinkie holding a cupcake and a bloody knife. She ran to her tent and pinkie shrugged. "Guess not!" sonic walked over. "Where's dash?" she shrugs. "I offered her a cupcake and she ran off! Then I put my knife away!" he sighs. She's confused. "What?" "I'll explain later!" he runs off. Dash was huddled under her blanket. Sonic walked in. "Dash!" she whimpers. He sighs. "Don't be so scared. Do you really believe she killed somepony to make that cupcake for you??" she doesn't answer. "Come on! You can't be this way forever! It won't help!" she takes the blanket off of her head and sighs. "I guess I need to find something to distract me from the dreams… I don't have them anymore but still think about them." He nods. "I saw you blush before applejack had walked in! What was that about?" she blushes and shrugs. He sees it again. "You just did it again!" she looks away. He smiles and gets up. "I'll see you later!" she looks back. "Wait!" he smiles. "Yeah?" she looks down for a second. "Don't go…" he stops and walks back in. he sits down next to her. She explains how they knew each other for so long and how they knew each other so well and how alike they were. He nods. "I know that, but what are you going for?" "I…" she quickly got close and kisses him deeply. She separates and they were both blushing. "…Love you…" he smiles. "I know…" he kisses her back and closes his eyes. Spike walked by and heard them. He strains his hearing and sighs. "Lucky…" he thinks of rarity and then thinks of what twilight had told him. He walks off. Twilight sees him. "Spike? What's wrong?" he sighs and keeps walking. She picks him up with her magic and brings him over. "You can tell me" he looks at her. "Well, I was walking by rainbow dash's tent and heard her and sonic…" she nods, interested. "Yeah?" "They love each other… and I'm jealous…" she smiles. "If you like rarity so much, why not tell her?" he blushes. "I'm too nervous…" she nods. "Ah love, one of the many mysteries of life…" spike blushes even deeper. She sees and continues. "It starts with a first sight or glance and you feel different… like you just drank a warm glass of apple cider…" spike's face was now bright red. Twilight smiles. "Come on spike! I've noticed that she likes you a little bit too!" he looks at her. "Really?" she nods. "Although applejack is better at telling the truth than I, I'm still honest!" he nods. "I know…" twilight walks out of her tent once she finished talking to spike and headed toward dash's tent. She taps her hooves on the ground to get their attention. They open the flap. "Yeah?" "Spike told me he was eavesdropping and heard you two!" their faces turn bright red to the point big Macintosh would have trouble keeping up. She smiles. "…And it looks like he was telling the truth!" they sigh. "Must everypony always know about everything?!" she laughs. "Pretty much!" sonic noticed ever since twilight changed, she was more humorous and less serious about everything. Pinkie walked over to dash's tent. "Hey! Are you okay? What's wrong?" dash smiles and explains the dreams she had and pinkie laughed. "So that's why!" she just laughs. Dash is confused. "You aren't mad?" she laughs more. "No! If I got mad at everypony who did something, do you think I'd be the pony I am?" dash smiles. "I guess not…" "Any way, what were you three talking about?" twilight tells her and pinkie sighs. "What?" "Applejack, rarity, and I were betting on this! Rarity and I thought it would never happen and applejack said she thought it would happen! Guess rarity and I will be working on applejack's farm for a month…" they laugh. Pinkie runs off to tell rarity and applejack. Applejack smiles. "Yeehah!! Knew it!" rarity sighs dramatically. "Really, why'd we even bet on it any way?" they all shrug. Celestia had lost a large portion of her force to that one conflict. Her transformation was now complete. Her coat turned ink black; even darker than nightmare moon's coat. Her sanity had gone with it. Her guards and soldiers were now talking about what happened and some were leaving to avoid getting killed by pinkie. Luna and her army marched to canterlot and took the front gate and train station quickly. Luna looks up to the castle to notice it was changed… darker and more ominous. Celestia had no more choices; she would have to do something soon. She told one of her guards to wake up the scientists to get going on finishing her new mutant pony experiment. She had recently found out about using a power source called 'nano' technology. It made the ponies mindless and mutant, a lot more powerful and hard to kill. Even if she only had 10 of them, she could do a lot of damage. Twilight was the only one other than celestia that knew of this project. It was the reason she was so nervous right now. Luna knew a little bit about it too. Pinkie was ready if they had to deal with any of the soldiers. Most of her group stayed away from her.  The scientists finished and released the ponies. They were bright red with white eyes with no pupils, with red electricity coursing through their body. They ran out quickly. Sonic saw them. "Holy crap…" pinkie ran ahead and slashed one and they just knocked her to the side. Luna's eyes widened once she realized what they were. She ordered the heavy weapon ponies to the front. Scratch came out with a really big gun. Sonic saw it. "Hey, what's that?" she grins. "Oh, it's nothing special… JUST MAH BASS CANNON!!" she open fired and everypony covered their ears from the noise. It made sonic waves followed by a barrage of bullets. All ten of the nano enhanced soldiers fell in seconds. Sonic was impressed. "I wish you had brought that out earlier!" she sits it down. "This thing hurts like hell just to fire! I don't like using it unless it's mounted or something" he nods and she just stretches. They got to the castle door and they never ran into any more nano enhanced ponies. They slowly open the door to find the halls empty. They look around and saw Nopony. Celestia had her guards leave. She would handle it. A force field blocked most of their force from entering. All that remained were: scratch, pinkie, applejack, rarity, spike, twilight, sonic, dash, and Luna. They look around. Luna frowns. "Taking the direct approach was a trap…" celestia walked out and they gasp. Luna growls. "Yep… that's her…" she changes into nightmare moon and charges her. Celestia runs and they collide. Their horns were locked and the rest just watched. Sonic then explains how they'll take her they all nod. Rarity and pinkie would take one side and dash and applejack would take another. Sonic and twilight would use their magic to try and weaken her defenses. Sonic's horn glowed with green energy. He then remembered something he had brought with him and took his bag out. He opens it and seven gems fall out. Twilight sees them. "Are those…" he nods. "They are…" they spin around him and there's a flash of light and he soon a bright yellow color. He mutters a bunch of things under his breath and disappears. He reappears behind celestia and he uses his powers to throw energy spears at her. She was too busy fighting Luna to notice them and is hit directly by them. She falls over. Sonic smiles. "Give it up" she shakes her head. "Never!" Luna walks over. "Even without our main force, we still have the advantage over you!" celestia mutters something. Dash felt strange all the sudden. She looks around confused. Sonic looks over to her and recognized that look. It had happened before in his past life. "No!" he runs over and she falls over onto the ground. Her eyes were blank and her breathing had stopped. "No…" celestia gets up laughing. "Oh? You know this spell? I cast it and it only works if the pony who struck me down had a true love… and that pony dies!" twilight and the others rush over. Sonic suddenly felt a rush of rage. He takes pinkie's knife and starts walking over to celestia. "Yeah… and the only way to break the spell is to kill who casted it…" she nods. "Very good! Wait…" sonic plunges the knife into her throat and twists the knife to do more damage. "GO TO HELL WHERE YOU BELONG…" she falls over with blood pooling around the stab wound and sonic walks away. Dash stirs and wakes up. She looks at where celestia was and saw what sonic did. Everypony gaped at what sonic did. Pinkie then started joking. "Well, he could have at least left the knife in her!" sonic grins at that remark and hands her the knife back. He walks up to dash and helps her up. "S-sonic? What happened?" "Celestia cast a dark spell that killed you… and I broke the spell" she nods and smiles. The force field blocking the others opened and they run in to make sure the group was okay. They sigh in relief to see that they were and then they see the gruesome scene of Celestia's body. Luna sighs. "I wish it didn't have to come to that…" she was actually kind of sad of the fact. Sonic did the right thing though. Sonic and dash leave the castle. Candence found out of what happened and was sad. Luna knew this had left a scar in everypony for the outcome of the battle. A tear went down her face as she walked up to talk. "This is a sad and regretful time it is… this will be a day to mourn over…" flags were kept at half raise for the events; to remember the brave souls who died on both sides. Sonic felt really bad for what he did. He thought this was a good idea to come to this world to avoid war and tragic death. He had just murdered the one who had greeted him and welcomed him to their world. He could still see signs of the spell on rainbow dash's face. Her eyes were darker and less confident. Twilight couldn't believe what sonic did. Tears leaked down her face like it was raining. The Pegasus were getting the clouds ready for it to rain. Funerals were held for who died. Sonic felt extremely guilty for his doings. Dash felt what he did was justified. She even blushed and felt good for his actions really. Luna walked into the archives to find twilight sorting through them. "Twilight? What are you looking for?" she sadly eyes her. "A longer time travel spell… if I can tell celestia what happens before everything, she might have a change of heart! I'll tell you as well!" she nods. "That's a good idea… if we can prevent all of this from happening… it's for the best…" twilight finds a very long one that gave three hours to do it. "Wow! Found a good one!" she uses it and disappears. She found herself in the library of canterlot. She sighs in relief. "Good! I'm closer than I thought I'd be!" she rushes out and she gets a few surprised looks based on her look. She got to the castle and got inside. Celestia saw her. "Twilight? What's going on? Why do you look like that?" twilight smiles seeing her. "I need to talk to you!" she nods. "Sure! What is it?" twilight explains everything that happens and celestia is surprised and saddened. "You're saying that my little sister will overthrow and kill me unless there's more done to keep balance?" twilight nods. Celestia sighs. "I never knew it was ever going to come to that…" she then nods. "Thank you twilight for telling me this. By the way, why are you an alicorn?" twilight laughs. "We found a device here and I accidentally hit myself with the blast from it!" celestia laughs. "You actually found that? Luna and I made that a while ago! But we never knew what it really did…" she smiles. "It's a nice look for you!" twilight smiles and then runs over to hug celestia. "Please… I don't want you or anypony else dead just for a few simple changes!" she nods. "Got it…" twilight then says good bye and disappears. She reappears back in the archives and looks outside to see the suns shining and blue skies instead of the dark and gloomy place it was before. She smiles. Celestia walks in and sees her. "Good morning twilight!" twilight smiles. "It is… a very good morning!" Luna then walks in as well. She nods at twilight. "Thank you…" sonic and dash were no longer gloomy and sonic wasn't guilty anymore. But he still slightly remembers it all and so did dash. One of the things they remember was their time they spent together at the camp. They smile at each other. "Twilight did a good thing…" sonic nods. "She must have found a better time travel spell or something!" they laugh. They walk by Sugercube corner to see pinkie serving cupcakes, but they were different. They walk up and pinkie was laughing up a storm at different ponie's reactions. Dash and sonic walk up. "Pinkie?" she smiles. "Yeah?" "What's with your cupcakes today?" she smiles again. "I made them look gross!" they look at them and dash's eye widen. They were dark chocolate with blood red frosting and had decorations like candy eyes and entrails. Dash runs off screaming and sonic and pinkie laugh. "Good one pinkie!" she grins. "Well, I wanted to see how she would react!" he nods and runs after dash. Dash was up in her home already and sonic knocked on the door. Dash opens it smiling. "Yeah?" "You okay?" she just laughs. "I was just playing around! I remember what we had talked about!" he nods. She then kisses him and smiles. "I remember everything we talked about!" he nods. She lets him in and closes the door after putting a 'do not disturb' sign on her door. THE END
