Sonsal: the proposal


Sonic ran into new Mobotropolis and dropped by the jewelry store. Rouge (of course) was the clerk there. "Sonic? Whut are you doing here?" sonic nervously scratched the back of his head. "I need to get something special..." rouge smiled. "Like whut?"
"I need an engagement ring for sal…" rouge smirked. "You plan on popping the question?" sonic slowly nodded. "Yeah…" "I'll be right back!" rouge went in the back and came back holding a small blue ring box. "Here" she handed the box to him. He opened it and it was a blue diamond ring. "You knew I was going to come later?"
"Nope. Sally made an order that I should give you if you ever came in here."
"How much is it?" rouge shook her head. "Don't bother! Take it!" "……." Sonic thanked her and left. He put the ring in his shoe and ran toward knothole. He knocked on sally's door. She answered. "Yes, sonic?" "Are you free at the time?" "Sure, whut is it?"
"Want to go for a walk?" she nodded and came out. They walked through the forest and came out to a clearing overlooking a cliff. The sun was soon going down. "Sonic… this place is beautiful" sonic nodded. "So are you sal. I have a reason for bringing you out here…" sonic had a really nervous look on his face, sally noticed this. "Rouge had given something to me that was ordered about a year ago…" sally knew what he was talking about. She swallowed. "Sal… you know how we've been back together and we've been closer than ever" sally started to sweat slightly. "Yeah…" sonic took the ring box out.
He got on one knee and opened it with a solemn look on his face. "Marry me, sal"
She hugged him. "I knew exactly whut was in the box… I made a delivery to be sent to you on the day we broke up" she wiped away a tear. "I still regret my actions. I knew then that you were not yet ready… I should have waited for you to make the first move"
"It's fine! I don't mind. That's the past… let's leave it behind" they kissed. "Are you speaking poetry?" sonic blinked. "Did I rhyme my words? Oops!" sally giggled. "You are still a little silly sometimes"  "so? That's the way I am" "I know…" she kissed him deeply. Sonic fur nearly stood on end. He felt like he would be sucked inside of her on how deeply she was kissing him. She separated and sonic and he gasped for breath. "Sorry" he stood back up. "I'm fine! I never knew you kiss that strongly!" she smiled the way sonic liked her to smile. "Should we just stand here or get plans ready?" "Come on… we have all of the time in the world! Let's wait until at least tomorrow" she nodded.
"Okay, good idea" sonic turned super form and picked sally up. "Sonic… you know I feel kind of nauseous whenever you do this…" "Come on sal! You need to loosen up!"
"Well… okay!" sonic flew up and went to knothole and landed on the bridge in the middle. He turned back to normal and sat sally down. She wobbled a bit from dizziness.
"You okay?" "I'm fine" "remember this spot?" "Yeah, this is where we met 16 years ago" "Yeah, remember how I was so nervous around you?" "Yeah, I do. I was pretty nervous myself. But now we're together and nothing except death can change that"
Sonic nervously laughed. "Let's hope that does not happen any time soon" "agreed"
"Sal, I love you so much" "I know." She kissed him and layed her head down on his shoulder. Sonic looked up at the bright stars. "thank you… for letting this happen"
